1 What is a lipectomy?

It is performed to remove excess skin and fat accumulated in the lower abdomen, which is difficult to correct through diet and exercise. The ideal candidates for abdominal surgery are patients who have suffered significant weight loss or large variations in weight. Also, women who have had several pregnancies and, as a consequence, have sagging skin and the muscular wall of the abdomen.
